Cristiana Barsony-Arcidiacono & Rinson Jose, whose links to exploding Pagers are being protected by Hungary's secret service
Cristiana Barsony-Arcidiacono, a 49-year-old woman of Italian-Hungarian, and Rinson Jose, a 37-year-old Indian emigrant from Kerala to pursue higher studies who is now a Norwegian citizen, are also under investigation for their connection to the Pagers. They have been named as suspects in a coordinated Pager attack that devastated parts of Lebanon. The attack, which targeted members of the Hezbollah militant group, exploded pagers, killing 12 people and wounding more than 2,000 in Lebanon this week.
Cristiana Barsony-Arcidiacono, PhD in particle physics, and Rinson Jose have been linked to the incident through the Pagers, which were modified to carry explosives and linked to multiple companies. A Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo, stated that it had authorized a Budapest-based firm, BAC Consulting, to use its trademark on the pages involved in the attack. Authorities believe she may have played a role in planning or executing the attack, which involved the use of pagers to deliver a lethal signal to targeted individuals.
The attack, which took place on September 17, has sparked outrage and condemnation both domestically and internationally. Hezbollah, a powerful political and military force in Lebanon, has vowed to hold those responsible accountable.
Investigators are working to determine Cristiana & Jose's motive and the extent of their involvement in the attack. If found guilty, they could face serious charges, including terrorism.
