  • Early Dutch Blow: The Dutch took the lead spectacularly just seven minutes in. Youngster Xavi Simons unleashed a thunderbolt from outside the box that left England keeper Pickford with no chance.

  • England Respond: England didn't take long to respond. Just four minutes later, they were awarded a penalty after a clumsy challenge on Bukayo Saka in the box. Captain Harry Kane stepped up and coolly converted to level the score at 1-1.

  • Tense First Half: The remainder of the first half was a tight affair with both teams cancelling each other out. Chances were at a premium, with neither side managing to create clear-cut opportunities.

  • England Push for Winner: England came out with more purpose in the second half and started to dominate possession. Gareth Southgate introduced fresh legs in the form of Ollie Watkins and Phil Foden, adding attacking impetus.

  • Dramatic Late Winner: The game looked destined for extra time, but with just minutes remaining, England found their winner. A cross from Kieran Trippier found unmarked Ollie Watkins at the back post, who headed home to send the English fans into raptures.

Man of the Match: While there were several strong performances for England, the award ultimately went to Jude Bellingham. The young midfielder controlled the tempo of the game in the center of the park, breaking up Dutch attacks and driving England forward with his powerful runs. His tireless work ethic and composure under pressure were crucial in England's victory.

England will now face Spain in the final on Sunday, July 14th, as they look to claim their first major trophy since 1966.
